For over twenty years, Jamien Rose (Cvjetnicanin) has been helping people come home to themselves through the process of embodiment. She began training to teach GYROTONIC® movement in 2004 and Pilates in 1999 and continues to study and practice numerous movement forms and somatic techniques. With a Master of Occupational Therapy from UW, B.A. from UNC-Chapel Hill in Human Movement Science, certificate in somatic education, corporate wellness clients, years in professional ballet and modern dance, and both personal and professional experience with chronic conditions and injuries, she is effective with many people. Jamien honors each person's unique priorities and aims to join them through deep listening and attunement. She offers empathic, intuitive and knowledgeable guidance to people with Neurological Movement Disorders and Special Needs (MS, Parkinsons, Brain Cancer, Stroke, Post-Polio Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Blindness, Autism, ADD...), Elders, Highly Sensitive People, Movement Teachers, Dancers and anyone desiring a deep feeling of Inner Strength, Integration, Freedom and Presence.
Jamien is an auxiliary board member and has volunteered as a service provider for the Plus One Foundation. They offer grants to people with neurological movement disorders to participate in therapeutic activities that are not covered by insurance. Jamien is currently providing private pay occupational therapy services for prevention and wellness, along with movement sessions/groups. Rehabilitative services will be added at a later date.
